The Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers’ Compensation (DWC) has developed a proposal for amendments to the rules regarding the Pharmacy Fee Guidelines and the reimbursement of pharmaceutical expenses incurred by the injured worker. The proposed rule changes will be published in the July 1, 2011, issue of the Texas Register and are also available at http://www.sos.state.tx.us/texreg/index.shtml or through the DWC’s rule webpage at: http://www.tdi.state.tx.us/wc/rules/proposedrules/index.html

The DWC is accepting public comments on the proposed amendments through 5:00 p.m., CST, on Monday, August 1, 2011, and will hold a public hearing regarding the proposed amendments on Monday, July 11, 2011, at 1:00 p.m., CST.
